Little Labs LL2A

The LL2A from Little Labs is a standalone compressor limiter designed to provide smooth, transparent compression to your sounds without adding additional coloration. It features a four-quadrant multiplier that processes gain reduction, with only two active components in the signal path all together, minimizing the amount of artifacts produced by the compression as much as possible. The controls are designed to be immediate and intuitive, with only two potentiometers, Threshold and Output volume, making the LL2A an excellent sidekick when tracking. By default the attack and release settings are fixed, at 400-microsecond and 0.9 seconds respectively, but these can both be extended by activating Link mode while using a single unit—otherwise, two units can be linked together for balanced stereo processing. Trigger the compression externally with the TRS side chain input, allowing for more complex processing. If your sound is in need of high fidelity compression, the LL2A from Little Labs brings the best of analog hardware while maintaining the original character of your recordings.

LL2A Features

  • High fidelity analog compressor limiter
  • Ultra-low noise linear voltage regulation
  • Fast 400-microsecond attack and 0.9 second release, with slower AR settings when Link mode is engaged on a single LL2A
  • True VU ballistic metering
  • High quality stepped threshold and gain controls
  • Rear panel TRS balanced side chain insert
  • Capable of processing unbalanced stereo, or linkable with two LL2As for balanced stereo use
