With Serratus, nine is your lucky number; it contains nine comb filter algorithms and nine mutation modes. The comb filters range from pitched delay lines to complex spectral shaping. These delay lines span a 10 octave pitch range with precise 1V/oct tracking. The Mutation engines provide unique distortion possibilities from saturation to Isobar's adaptation of JPEG compression for audio destruction. Add modulation through the envelope follower or the Leech engine, an internal modulation source that adds organic drift or unpredictable and dynamic chaos. Melt, the stereo reverb adds space with octave shifting, metallic plate reverberations, and rubbery or crystalline material dampening. Etch selects either a DJ-style tilt filter or a 16-band resonant filterbank that sculpts and shapes the timbral characteristics of your sound. Serratus delivers a multitude of feedback possibilities. Feed adds either positive or negative feedback, while the endless Orbit encoder injects orbital phaser behavior directly into the feedback loop. On top of that, the adjustable routing paths move the Mutations, filtering, and reverb before, after, or inside the feedback loop. Capture the material inside the buffer to loop and mangle it with the Freeze function. Send triggers to strike the delay line to model plucked strings or ethereal metallic impacts.
